DeepSpace is a confidential, non judgmental safe space that sets itself up around the summer festival scene in New Zealand. It is a space where festivals goers can find respite and receive peer to peer support at an often overwhelming environment
It is a space where guests can rest, top up on fluids, snack or just pop round to have a frank discussion on how to party safely and receive specialised care when distressing situations arise.
Our volunteers come from various backgrounds. From mental health nurses, helpline volunteers and psychiatrists to patient, empathetic people who have been there before. Our crew are equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience to help a guest through their difficult experience.
DeepSpace Festival Care was set up as a response to the lack of specialised care at festivals for guest that are experiencing difficult emotional experiences often due to the misuse of unregulated substances.
If this is a cause that resonates with you, or maybe has helped you at events this summer
